1. Acceptance

By using HelpPet you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Use of the service

HelpPet is a good-faith platform that connects people with shelters and helps spread the word about lost pets. We are not responsible for the actions, statements, or decisions of shelters or users.

3. Shelter registration

If you apply to register a shelter you commit that the information is truthful. HelpPet reviews every application manually and may accept or reject as we see fit. We may remove a shelter from the platform if we detect false information or behavior that harms animals or the community.

4. Content you publish

By uploading photos, stories or information about your shelter, lost pet, adoption or help case, you grant us a limited non-exclusive license to display that content on HelpPet (web + app) to fulfill the platform's purpose. You keep ownership of your content. You confirm you have the rights to publish the photos (your pet, your shelter, etc.).

5. Donations and support

Donations made through the platform go directly to the shelter or case author, via Yape or other methods the receiver publishes. HelpPet does NOT process payments or take commissions — it facilitates trust and connection. We don't guarantee the final use of funds, but we make reasonable efforts to validate the legitimacy of published receivers. Donations are between you and the receiver; HelpPet is not a party to that transaction.

6. Location and maps

If you share the exact location of your shelter (lat/lng via Google Maps), you agree it will appear on a public map. If you don't want your exact address public, write only the district or a reference and skip the exact location.

7. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, HelpPet is not responsible for indirect damages arising from use of the platform, donations made, physical meetings between users and shelters, or any interaction occurring outside the platform.
